You decide what to enter into Vigil Today. This may include:

3. Account information

Vigil Today uses Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication. Signing in may provide us with your display name, email address, user ID, and basic profile information from your Google account. The app uses Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and a service worker to provide its features.

4. Notification information

To send push notifications, we may store your notification permission state, an FCM token or its hash, device metadata, notification delivery state, reminder and inventory alert state, and relevant timestamps. Notification delivery depends on your browser, operating system, device settings, and internet connection. Vigil Today cannot guarantee delivery of any notification.

5. Inventory and product data

For inventory tracking and calculations, we store item names, categories, quantities, package sizes, units, usage periods, replacement cycles, reorder thresholds, product URLs, Amazon URLs, affiliate URLs, inventory history, and purchase events. This data is not used for advertising purposes.

6. Sensitive and medical-related information

Vigil Today is not intended for medical use. We recommend that you avoid entering highly sensitive health information, medical records, prescription details, or clinical data into the app.

7. No ads, no behavioral tracking

Vigil Today does not show advertisements, does not build advertising profiles, does not sell your personal data, does not track your behavior across other websites or apps, and does not share your data with advertising networks. We may process limited operational data to provide and maintain the service.

8. Affiliate links

Vigil Today may display affiliate links for products you save. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. When you click a product link, you leave Vigil Today and visit the retailer's website. We may receive limited affiliate reporting data from the retailer. This data is not used to build advertising profiles. You are not required to use affiliate links.

9. Optional AI/MCP connector data

If you use the optional AI connector, depending on the permissions you grant, the connected assistant may access your reminders, inventory items, low-stock status, replacement-cycle data, summaries, completion history, and inventory history. If you grant write access, the assistant may add purchases, mark reminders complete, update inventory quantities, create new items, and update product links. You should only connect trusted AI providers. We may store limited connector logs including the provider name, tool used, success or failure status, timestamp, account ID, and permission scope. Connector data is not used for advertising.

10. Payment information

Payments for paid features are handled by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card number. We may store your subscription status, plan type, billing period, provider customer and subscription identifiers, and cancellation status.

11. Technical and operational data

To operate the service, we may process your account ID, browser type, device notification state, action timestamps, error logs, rate-limit state, security logs, diagnostic data, feature state, and subscription status. This data is used for authentication, storage, scheduling, notifications, inventory alerts, fraud prevention, debugging, rate limiting, security, and subscription control. It is not used for advertising.
