How affiliate links work in Vigil Today
Vigil Today lets you save product links for items you track in your inventory — things like supplements, filters, household supplies, and other consumables. When your stock is low, a Buy again button appears on the item detail page. Some of those product links may be affiliate links, depending on the URL you saved and the marketplace it points to.
Examples of items where product links might appear:
- Water filters
- Air filters
- Household supplies
- Coffee supplies
- Cleaning products
- Personal consumables
- Other products you choose to track
Does this change the price?
No. Affiliate links do not change the price you pay. You pay the same price whether you use an affiliate link or navigate to the product directly.
Are you required to use affiliate links?
No. You are never required to use a product link saved in Vigil Today. You can:
- Ignore the Buy again button entirely
- Search for the product manually
- Buy directly from the manufacturer or retailer
- Purchase from another store of your choice
- Update or remove the product link in your item settings
Does Vigil Today show ads?
No. Vigil Today does not show advertisements, does not sell your data, and does not use behavioral advertising. Product links appear only for items you have personally saved in the app.
Does Vigil Today track me for ads?
No. Vigil Today does not build advertising profiles or track your behavior for advertising purposes. When you click a product link and visit a retailer such as Amazon, that retailer may process your visit according to its own privacy policy.
Medical and sensitive items
Vigil Today is not medical software and is not approved for medical use. If you save links to health-related products, you remain responsible for all purchasing decisions. Vigil Today does not provide medical advice, dosage guidance, or safety assessments for any product.
Why use affiliate links?
Vigil Today is a free web app. Affiliate commissions provide a small way to support its development without displaying ads, selling data, or engaging in behavioral advertising. You are never required to use them.
